Job Summary

We are looking for an organised and self-motivated individual, eager to help us with our general finance and office management. The ideal candidate would be experienced in performing general finance duties, a confident multitasker and have a friendly and approachable manner. As the first point of contact in our central Bristol HQ, you’ll also be dealing with general enquiries to the office and help keep things running smoothly for us all.

Experience

Essential

  • Minimum 1 year experience with general finance tasks
  • Experience working with spreadsheets
  • Familiar with online banking
  • Organised and self motivated
  • Be approachable and friendly
  • Experience working in a busy office environment

Desirable

  • Bookkeeping qualifications
  • Familiar with Xero
  • Familiar with GSuite
  • Experience of Office management
  • Experience working in an SME and/or in an project-oriented commercial company
  • Interested in mobile technologies
  • Experience in a client facing role

Duties and Tasks

Finance

  • Being the first point of contact for our accountants
  • Creating and tracking invoices
  • Making purchases
  • Monthly payroll duties
  • Helping accountants to prepare quarterly VAT returns and annual accounts
  • Oversight – preparing weekly/monthly/ quarterly reports for the board

Admin

  • Being the first point of contact at Calvium HQ (door, phone + building managers)
  • Ordering and managing deliveries of office supplies
  • Backup and verification of finance and admin tools
  • Digital admin duties such as organising our file storage
  • Health & Safety process ownership e.g. DSE self-assessments
  • Managing bookings for meeting spaces, hotels, overseas travel
  • Organising social events (summer adventure + Christmas party)
