What is job shadowing?
Job shadowing is an informal way to gain work experience by observing a professional in their workplace. The person observing will not be undertaking any work and will not be paid for the time that they participate in the job shadowing activity.

Digital marketing is the use of online platforms, tools, and strategies to promote products, services, or brands to a targeted audience. It leverages channels such as social media, email, search engines, and websites to engage users, drive traffic, and achieve business goals through measurable and data-driven methods.
What is the Digital Marketing Job Shadowing opportunity?
Calvium is offering a taster activity designed for individuals interested in a career in digital marketing, providing insights into the type of work involved. This activity aims to give participants a practical understanding of the skills and activities central to the field. It is hoped that this activity will support the career progression of the participant.
The activity will take place online using Google Meet software. In total, the duration will be four hours, but it is anticipated that this will run across two or three sessions – depending on the preferences of the participant.
The participant will be expected to source the necessary technology for them to be able to undertake the observation.
What is the timetable?
We are looking to recruit the participant by early January and run the actual job shadowing activity in mid to late January 2025.
Who is the audience for this activity?
The job shadowing is part of our commitment as Disability Confident Level 1 employers and, as such, is aimed at D/deaf, disabled and neurodivergent people in the UK who are interested in exploring a career in digital marketing.
